The size of pontoons need to be designed and produced according to the application requirements and the owner's requirements. But we still need to consider the technology, application, transportation, economy and other factors.
Generally speaking, there are four kind of pontoons: Concrete, Aluminum alloy, Steel and Plastic.
● Concrete pontoons: We recommend to produce them on site. The factors that will affect the dimension are: concrete supply capacity, mould situation, loading/unloading equipment, transport conditions, site conditions and other things. For the concrete pontoon, we suggest the size not to exceed 20m(L) ×6m(W) ×4m(H) as one unit.
● Aluminum alloy/Steel pontoons: the sizes are mainly decided by frame dimensions. To facilitate the transportation, we suggest the size not exceed12m(L) × 2.6m(W) for container, or 17.5m(L)×2.8m(W) for truck as one unit, otherwise the transportation cost will go up a lot.
● Plastic pontoons: the sizes are various, but we recommend to use the common products, if not we need to consider the very expensive mould fee.
As the units can be infinitely extended by flexible/semi-flexible/rigid connections, so there is no strict size restrictions for ANLAN pontoon system.
